Using the Biophilia Intruder Can Improve the Accuracy of Cervical Cancer Diagnosis

Currently, gynecological NLS diagnosis, utilizing all modern diagnostic methods and equipment with high-resolution capabilities, has become a leading diagnostic approach. However, the issue of NLS graphical assessment of cervical condition has not been addressed. Among available resources, studies on cervical NLS imaging are lacking. Previously, examination of the cervix was not considered a target of NLS research because bimanual vaginal examination and scopy allowed therapists to obtain fairly accurate information. Today, due to the rapid development of computer technology, NLS diagnosis using the Biophilia Intruder scanner features three-dimensional information acquisition and analysis, leading to modifications of older diagnostic methods. Therefore, this is the purpose of our study: to evaluate the potential of three-dimensional NLS studies compared to two-dimensional studies in cervical tumor examination, its expansion, and a comparison of this data with MRI data. Analysis of the acquired data shows that three-dimensional NLS imaging is approximately twice as informative as two-dimensional NLS imaging in assessing vaginal and myometrial invasion. We believe that in many cases, three-dimensional NLS imaging data can provide more information and bring the diagnosis closer, thus enabling the selection of patient management strategies.

Through comprehensive analysis of all acquired 3D NLS data, we conclude that this method can improve the accuracy of disease staging from 57% to 88%. 3D examination plays a major role in stages IIB and IIIA, when the tumor size and expansion are still relatively small. In advanced stages, symptoms such as hydroureter, hydronephrosis, and bladder infection can even be used to determine the disease stage quite accurately using 2D studies, although the tumor boundaries and size cannot be clearly displayed.

Based on the above study, we draw the following conclusions:

– Compared to 2D study data, 3D NLS imaging performed in conjunction with REA increases the diagnostic value of methods for detecting parametrial, myometrial, and vaginal invasion, as well as stage IIV-IV disease.

– The application of 3D NLS imaging improves the accuracy of cervical cancer staging from 57% to 88%.
